How does Misfit Venture work?
Misfit Venture is an online marketplace where creators can submit their ideas for potential buyers. Buyers can browse, preview, and purchase ideas to develop further. Submitters can share raw thoughts or fully developed concepts, and buyers have the option to purchase either a preview (PDF glimpse) or the entire concept.

What happens after I submit an idea?
Once you submit an idea, it will be reviewed by our team and added to the marketplace for potential buyers. You will receive a confirmation email with a copy of your submission, NDA, and FAQ for your records.

Will my idea be protected?
Yes, your submission is protected by the NDA and remains confidential while on the platform. Ownership rights remain with you until the idea is purchased, at which point they transfer to the buyer as per the purchase agreement.

How does payment work when my idea is sold?
When a buyer purchases your idea, you will receive a percentage of the purchase price, which will be deposited into the account you provided. This payment will be made within 30 days of the sale.

What is a ‘PDF glimpse’ purchase?
The PDF glimpse is a preview document providing an overview of your idea for buyers to review before purchasing the full concept. Buyers who wish to move forward with the full purchase will then have access to the complete documentation and ownership rights.

Can I edit or update my idea after submission?
Currently, once an idea is submitted and approved, it cannot be edited. However, you may contact our support team to discuss additional updates or submissions.

How is the price of my idea determined?
You set the initial price for your idea, though Misfit Venture reserves the right to make adjustments based on marketplace trends and buyer feedback to help increase the likelihood of purchase.

How do buyers know they have the rights to develop the idea after purchase?
Upon purchasing the full idea, buyers receive a document outlining their rights to develop, modify, and commercialize the concept. This release document is automatically emailed upon purchase.
